Crispy Bacon Grilled Cheese Honey (Print View)

Ultra-crispy grilled cheese with smoky bacon, melty cheese, and spicy honey drizzle.

# Components:

→ Sandwiches

01 - 4 slices thick-cut sourdough bread
02 - 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
03 - 4 slices mozzarella cheese
04 - 4 strips thick-cut bacon
05 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

→ Hot Honey

06 - 3 tablespoons honey
07 - 1 teaspoon hot sauce (such as Sriracha)
08 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional

# Directions:

01 - Cook bacon strips in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp. Transfer to paper towels to drain excess fat.
02 - Combine honey, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl and stir until well blended. Set aside.
03 - Arrange bread slices on a cutting board. Layer 2 slices of sharp cheddar, half the bacon, and 2 slices of mozzarella on 2 bread slices. Top each with a remaining bread slice.
04 - Evenly spread softened butter on the outside of both assembled sandwiches.
05 - Wipe out the skillet and set over medium-low heat. Place sandwiches in pan and cook 3 to 4 minutes per side until the bread turns golden brown and cheese melts, pressing gently with a spatula for a crisp finish.
06 - Remove sandwiches from skillet, halve each, and drizzle generously with prepared hot honey. Serve immediately while warm.
